Tales from the Anthropocene: At the world’s northernmost civilian air research station, as far away from local pollutants as you get, we se the grim reality of global climate change. Towering above Ny Ålesund, at 79 degrees north, lies the Zeppelin station. \n\nWe measured well over 424 ppm today. That’s CO2 parts per million. And that’s not just a number. It’s a number that tells us that we’ve spent almost all our carbon budget, if we want to adhere to what we agreed in Paris and Glasgow. Those particles will remain in the atmosphere for centuries, together with all those...

Climate changes impact the most vulnerable first and hit them the hardest. Today I met @WorldBank Managing Director @AxelVT_WB - we agree on the need to integrate climate & development & for ambitious #IDA20 replenishment in December #ClimateAction https://t.co/10vGSWPZoM
🇳🇴 at #COP26: To achieve the goals of the #ParisAgreement & keep 1,5 degrees alive, we must all step up! We must ✅strengthen targets ✅cut emissions ✅ensure #climatefinance so that all countries can access renewable energy and handle extreme weather #ClimateAction https://t.co/gOlmwcIqds

Our Minister of International Development will travel to #COP26 🌎 Climate change hits the poorest first and hardest. In #Glasgow, we must pave the way for a faster energy transition and adaptation in developing countries, says @AnneBeathe_ #ClimateAction #ZeroHunger https://t.co/0diVPFc6nl
With dedication and humility, I assume the post of Minister of Climate and Environment in Norway’s new centre-left Government, which took office today. We need to radically step up #ClimateAction in order to keep global warming under 1,5C and improve our relationship with nature.
FM #EriksenSoreide attending #OECDMinisterial in #Paris this week – discussing need to build a greener and more inclusive future post #Covid19 . Full inclusion of women in the work force is crucial for economic recovery. #Equality #ClimateAction https://t.co/1KbhTZifFE
Climate change increases the risk of violent conflict. That's why we must integrate #ClimateAction into our peace efforts. In peacekeeping, conflict mediation and conflict prevention. This is a priority for #NorwayUNSC #ClimateandSecurity #UNGA https://t.co/sGQs0cqqNV
We already live with impacts of #ClimateChange. Transition to a low-emission society requires change. We must cut emissions, not jobs. We must put a price on carbon. Large economies need to raise their ambitions before #COP26. Norway will do our part #ClimateAction https://t.co/trKBaSMwCb
