Had lunch with IEA’s Excecutive Director Fatih Birol today. We discussed how to accelerate the energy transition, without which we will not be able to keep global warming below catastrophic levels or reach net zero in time. The current energy crisis, exacerbated by the Russian invasion of Ukraine, must inspire us to bring the renewable solutions of tomorrow forward.
