Statement of the Ambassador

I strongly condemn the violence used against unarmed protesters in Khartoum on 17 November. Hindering access to hospitals and disrupting safety and treatment in hospitals is intolerable and illegal. As is the way all communications have been shut down. These acts are not conducive to meaningful dialogue. We call on the de facto authorities to respect and fulfill their responsibility for protecting civilians and ensure the safety of peaceful protesters. The Sudanese people have the right to freely express
